A Warm Weekend in May

We took the kids for a birthday treat to a theme park on Saturday, not my thing at all so I was glad to find it was in a beautiful setting with plenty of scope for pictures.

I was happy to wander in the woods with my camera and let the rest of the party shake themselves up on the rides.

This is my old fella recovering from a traumatic ride on a roller coaster with two screaming girls.

Sadly, these days even lichen has more allure for me than Megaphobia.

This is the stream bed, i love the light and shade, it looks like snakeskin.

On Sunday we had a lazy day, stayed at home, played by the river, had a barbeque and I played with the panoramic setting. It is so clever I will pick a more interesting view  next time.

Hi Judith

A nice photoblog, my fave shot is the first one.  the rest are good too but I just thought you caught the action with that first one spot on.

Thanks for going to the trouble of putting this altogether and posting.

Cheers

Hi Judith - thanks for sharing - the first shot is great & really conveys the action. Got a park that looks very similar, rides amongst woodland walks; close to our home & we visit a few times in the summer - as soon as I saw that shot I could hear the whoops of joy/apprehension. I also love the snake skin stream.
