Visit to Longleat safari park

The impressive entrance gates to the safari park at Longleat on a beautiful July morning.

First sight of my favourites, the giraffes

The baby zebra was almost hidden in the grass until he began to stir.

I'm sure those flies must have been very annoying.

Unbelievable to be so close to rhinos.

This beautiful tiger crossed in front of us, so close we could have touched it.

Cat nap at the end of a purrfect  day. Would recommend Longleat for a great day out and an ideal place to try out my new camera.

Whilst it's a reasonable photo it's hardly a blog and you could have easily put this in the gallery where you are more likely to get favourable comments. For help on creating a blog please read this

The important point to remember is that people expect to see text and several photos in a blog and as such some get a bit irritable when they see their hard work buried under a single photo or a series of single photograph blogs from the same user

Some lovely photos here, thank you for re-doing it for us (I didn't see the original though) and a great job you have made of it too.  They aren't easy to master but you have done really well.  Thank you for sharing your day with us, Charlie's mum.

Excellent photos.  I particularly liked the Giraffes.  Great first blog and I look forward to more. Good narrative. I have ths saying, 'the pictures should illustrate the narrative and the narrative should  illuminates the pictures'.  You got that spot on.

Thanks for taking the time to learn how to do them.  They are hard work but really rewarding when people like them enough to comment.
