Butterfly taken in the Tropical House at Chester Zoo. This is the first attempt at cropping and bordering a photo...(with thanks to Yorkie123 and Jack Hood for pointing me in the right direction on how to do borders...) Thanks Kathleen, as this border was done following your easy route. Now I've taken my photography into a new dimension.

hi alison
chester zoo is a magical place, this is one of your best efforts to date it rates alongside the fantastic lizzard picture, it has crisp very clear detail perfectly focused and blurry back ground just as a good macro shot should have also the frame really works well with this shot and when viewed enlarged it is just amazing and blows me away, an absolute pleasure to view this fine work of yours alison and i predict this WILL make the scrolling page of top rated pictures
truly excellent work from you alison as always all the best and here's some stars to help you on your way to where this photo belongs take care alison best of luck.........
edit:just seen your comments on my runcorn bridge photo i left a message on there for you thanks alison very much appreciated

Hi Alison.....a glorious shot indeed. Don't know whether you know but it is a White Tree Nymph and a very good specimen. I was intending to post a similar shot of the same butterfly taken in the same place.......but yours is far better than mine. Will have to think again.
Excellent shot and hope it does well..........a good start to get on the scroller
Edit; Sorry I thought this was in the competition as I came straight from the scrolling screen to the picture and only when I closed realised it was a gallery shot...........but anyway everything above applies and it would be a great shot for you to enter if you haven't already...............gone completely into rambling mode here, so please excuse......anyway its a great shot

Hi Alison, this is such a beautiful shot, the detail and the sharpness is superb, very well captured, hav to fav it, regards Ann
Also I would like to say that I am NO longer going to give Stars on a comment, it seems to cause too much animosity among members, SORRY, Fuji don't take any notice anyway, they choose their own. I have been a member on this site since it first began, but now its just not the same anymore.
